Hi, I have 29 gallon and I just tested all of my levels tonight. My ph fine, ammonia fine, nitrites fine. Everything was dead on looking good, except my nitrates. It read about 10 ppm. Now I have one adult black molly, one black female guppy, 7 immature dalmation mollies, around 5 nubian swordtails, a chocolate pleco, and an emerald cory. What is a safe level of nitrates for my fish tank? Is 10 ppm too much or should I do something to lower it? And, if I need to lower it, any suggestions on how to?
As some of you may already know, I've been having problems with algae blooms in my tank so I have been doing partial water changes everyday. And, all of the fish look to me to be healthy and eating well, fins all spread out, no lethargy, they look very good to me.
Is everything okay with the nitrate level at 10 ppm??
Another question, what should the nitrate level be in a fresh water tank? Below 40 ppm?
Any help would be very graciously appreciated, cuz I love my fish and I don't want to see them in any kind of distress(although they don't look like they are).

Thanks again in advance
Lakota
