Welcome to the Catfish, Sharks, and Other Bottom Feeders Forum

Here you may post messages or questions pertaining to keeping of Catfish, Sharks, and Other Bottom Feeders.

Catfish belong to the order Siluriformes and get their name from the barbels protruding from the upper part of their jaw that resemble a cat’s whiskers. By cleaning up leftover food and decaying plants in the aquarium, they help in keeping the water balanced. Read The World of Catfishes to learn more about catfish.

Suitable sharks for an aquarium include the rainbow shark, red tail shark, and bala shark. Read Aquarium Sharks & Rays to learn more about aquarium sharks.
